Site Visits

Even the most well written and thorough grant proposal is not a substitute for a face-to-face meeting. For this reason, the Imlay Foundation asks its directors to participate in site visits with selected potential partners. These visits offer us a chance to see the leadership in action and gain a greater understanding for the culture of the organization.

A site visit can prove beneficial for our partner organizations as well. Discussions during a well-planned site visit can furnish both parties’ insights into the grant and strengthen the proposal. Meeting one-on-one also is an opportunity to build a stronger long-term relationship.
